Overall Purpose of the Role:

Exciting opportunity to join our client’s team in Dublin as a Maintenance Operative, where you will play a pivotal role as part of the Facilities team, contributing to the efficiency of the dynamic office environment. The ideal candidate should possess experience in similar fast-paced office roles, demonstrating expertise in Mechanical and/or Electrical equipment, along with essential traits like reliability, flexibility, and strong communication skills.

The role encompasses various tasks, such as room setups and equipment maintenance, with collaboration during core office hours with the Hard Services Facilities Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in general maintenance within our client’s business in Dublin.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of office areas and plant rooms, promptly reporting and resolving issues.
  • Manage the Facilities help desk system, efficiently handling tickets, and serving as the main contact for on-site contractors.
  • Responsible for room setups, porterage duties, and addressing building repairs, including lamp replacements.
  • Execute minor in-house office moves and oversee larger changes after regular hours.
  • Provide crucial assistance during out-of-hours emergencies, such as leaks.
  • Regularly audit plant, equipment, and office furniture to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Utilize the Building Management System to monitor and address issues promptly.
  • Demonstrate expertise in identifying faults in Electrical & Mechanical Systems.
  • Conduct weekly Fire Alarm Tests to ensure safety protocols.
  • Offer support to other city center sites as required.
  • Complete various ad hoc tasks assigned by the Facilities Helpdesk or Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fast-paced office facilities.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical and/or Electrical equipment is preferred.
  • Reliable and adaptable team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator in-person and over the phone.
  • Skilled in planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Timely and accurate completion of assignments.
  • Holds valid Safe Pass/Fire Warden/First Aider Certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
  • Minimum education: Leaving Certificate Level.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
