Accountant - Real Estate

Our client is one of Ireland’s leading residential and commercial real estate developers. Due to continued growth, they have a new opening for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. The role report directly into the Finance Director and involves both reporting and commercial finance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

   • Develop and oversee financial budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
   • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

2. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports.
   • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
   • Manage statutory financial reports and the annual audit process.
   • Handle statutory Revenue returns including VAT, RCT, CT & PAYE.

3. Cash Flow Management:

   • Manage cash flow to ensure funds availability for ongoing operations.
   • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.

4. Internal Controls:

   • Act as the main contact point for compliance and annual returns.

5. Financial Systems and Processes:

   • Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes.
   • Identify opportunities for automation and optimisation.

6. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and mentor the team.
   • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
• Circa 3+ years PQE, ideally within the construction industry or a related field
• Excellent analytica;, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Effective management of multiple priorities.
