Role Summary:

The successful candidate will act a key driver of their Nectar innovation process. The candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering each project within specified timelines, contributing to the overall success and growth of the business.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead assigned projects through the entire Nectar innovation process, from project initiation to final review.
  • Ensure completion of required steps on Navision, providing clear communication to all departments at each process stage.
  • Attend all necessary meetings, including trials and scale-ups, presenting updates and reports as per S&I Manager’s requirements.
  • Conduct presentations to customers, actively participating in technical discussions, offering consumer insights, and presenting related concepts.
  • Maintain and update the project innovation pipeline weekly, promptly communicating any changes or delays to the team.
  • Deliver regular project reviews to the team, offering positive continuous improvement suggestions aligned with business strategic plans.
  • Build and leverage relationships with key influencers in targeted customer and supplier organizations.
  • Develop a network of technical experts to assist in the Nectar innovation process.
  • Conduct gate review meetings at each stage of the Nectar process.
  • Demonstrate expertise in food/meat science, food processing, food legislation, specifications, and recipe management.
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards in all facilities used within the organization.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Food Industry with a degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Proven track record in a similar role in a high-risk food environment.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel (Intermediate level).
  • Navision experience is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Outlook.
  • Strong project management skills and leadership ability.
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Technical proficiency in problem-solving solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible attitude with a “can-do” approach.
