Our client is a leading Real Estate company with offices based in Dublin. They are a seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the financial operations of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of financial management tasks aimed at achieving business goals and enhancing profitability. You will collaborate closely with the Managing Director, CFO, and property management finance teams to ensure effective financial strategies and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the business strategy for the finance department, aligning with overall company objectives and increasing profitability through efficient cost management.
  • Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, treasury, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as KPI reporting.
  • Coordinate the preparation of individual entity accounts and consolidated month-end accounts and reporting packs, encompassing P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and KPIs.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of annual budgets and projections.
  • Ensure timely reporting of financial information and excel in cash flow management to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and serve as the primary contact for external audit parties.
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, including ERP and IT system updates/rollouts.
  • Exercise day-to-day financial control over the company, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Review and ensure the timely submission/payment of VAT/PAYE/DWT returns and liaise with tax advisors and company secretarial advisors as necessary.
  • Provide oversight of monthly payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain quality control over financial transactions, reporting, and management reporting.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc duties as necessary to support the overall finance function.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant – Chartered Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience in the real estate industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting and implementing a new ERP system.
  • Understanding of the full finance function, including A/R, A/P, GL, and Treasury.
