Shift Electrical Engineer

Azon is delighted to be partnered up with a dynamic and innovative food production company to recruit for a Shift Electrical Engineer.

Location: Thurles, Tipperary- Fully on-site

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment. You will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of the facility during your designated shifts, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive maintenance measures to minimise downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Respond promptly to electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to plan and carry out preventive maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that electrical systems meet regulatory standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, technicians, and operators, to optimise overall system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and modifications.
• Liaise with auditors and visitors as required during customer audits.
• Ensuring the Area is managed in a controlled fashion that reflects the high quality standards and that the Area meets all GMP standards all of the times.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical Systems associated with high volume manufacturing equipment and hold a Third Level Qualification in one of those disciplines or the National Craft Certificate together with additional specialised training and experience.
• Must possess good technical ability and be self-motivated.
• Continually learning and exploring more efficient methods to perform duties.
