Our client is a global MedTech company with multiple sites in Ireland.

Due to new acquisitions and huge new business wins, they are now building a brand-new Tech team here in Ireland.

One of these roles is a senior hardware design engineer who will craft architecture for new hardware components, ensuring seamless software integration, and resolving any component issues efficiently.

To excel in this position, you’ll need strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge computer hardware technology. A standout hardware design engineer can swiftly identify design flaws and interpret technical performance data.

Your duties will include collaborating with design and engineering teams to ascertain hardware requirements, developing various components like PCBs, processors, and memory modules, and coordinating with software engineers for integration. Testing prototypes, analyzing performance data, and generating reports will be part of your routine. You’ll also oversee manufacturing processes, conduct maintenance, and stay abreast of technological advancements.

Requirements for this role include a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering, a minimum of 5 years’ experience, and proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Allegro, and Altium. Experience with HDL languages, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential.
