Our Client:

Azon are delighted to be partnering with one of the longest established estate agents in Ireland to assist them in hiring a Property Inspector based in Dublin City Centre. The role requires working closely with the Property Management Team but will also require the candidate to work independently with an ability to adapt and be reactive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to manage a substantial portfolio of properties for large-scale PRS clients around Dublin.

The Property Inspector’s role entails conducting comprehensive property inspections as part of routine maintenance checks, evaluating the property’s condition throughout the lease period. This involves ensuring tenants comply with their lease agreements regarding property upkeep and documenting any safety concerns or signs of excessive wear and tear. Effective communication, time management, and coordination abilities are essential for success in this position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Property Managers to coordinate upcoming inspections and access requirements.
  • Engaging with tenants to update inspection schedules and communicate relevant information.
  • Conducting thorough property inspections to ensure compliance with minimum standards and fire safety regulations for residential rentals.
  • Promptly identifying maintenance issues or areas of concern and reporting them to the Property Manager.
  • Capturing photographs of landlord-owned items, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Documenting instances of excessive wear and tear or damage and recording pertinent details.
  • Generating and maintaining inspection reports, outlining actions required by the Property Manager.
  • Adhering to company procedures and protocols throughout the inspection process.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in roles such as Property Inspector, maintenance coordinator, property administration, Property Manager, or similar within the industry is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is obligatory.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Exhibits strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English.
  • Proficient in using standard Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, and Hardware applications.
  • Displays confidence in interpersonal communication, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and meticulous attention to detail.
