Our client, a commercial semi-state body based in Kildare is looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist

Location: Kildare

Hybrid Working Model, 2 days a week on site.

The ideal candidate should showcase proficiency in operating autonomously and making informed decisions in line with Public Procurement regulations. Additionally, they should exhibit strong collaborative skills, contributing effectively as a team player within the broader procurement unit, to ensure the delivery of exemplary service, solutions, and procedures across both the sector and organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive procurement services to purchasers and budget holders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to offer best practice advice and support on procurement of goods, services, and works, emphasising customer service, value for money, and compliance with EU Directives, government guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies, corporate plans, and procedures.
  • Deliver ongoing customer service, support, and expertise regarding compliance, best practices, vendor management, and innovative sourcing solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public sector procurement.
  • Experience in procurement for capital projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and proven ability to apply them effectively.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and teamwork skills.
