Operations & Outsourcing Manager

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing asset management firm based in Dublin, operating as a subsidiary of a leading European bank. The Opportunity:

Due to substantial business growth, our client is seeking a talented Operations & Outsourcing Manager to join its Operations team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the UCITS Management Company business.

Main Responsibilities and duties:

  • Coordinates and oversees day-to-day activities, including outsourcing Middle Office, Administration, Investment Team, and settlement operations.
  • Provides daily oversight of the EMIR reconciliation program.
  • Ensures timely escalation and resolution of all potential and actual issues.
  • Facilitates the resolution of settlement fails.
  • Reviews reconciliations between counter-parties, custodians, and administrators, coordinating investigations among different outsourced service providers.
  • Liaises with global and local transfer agents for projecting cash flows due to subscriptions/redemption’s.
  • Collaborates with investment managers and counter parties to resolve pre-trade and trade matching issues.
  • Ensures the Front Office system is up-to-date in terms of limits definitions, product setup, and definitions.
  • Designs Process Management Flow with both Custodian and Administrator of Luxembourg and Irish Umbrella Fund.
  • Provides oversight and supervision of service providers, including initial and ongoing due diligence and review of monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc and board reporting.
  • Collaborates with and oversees the work of junior team members.
  • Reviews computation of Ongoing Charges of Fund Administrators and provides periodic budget updates.
  • Manages distribution requirements in relation to reporting of UCITS products.
  • Ensures SLAs/SLDs are periodically reviewed and kept up to date.
  • Assists in performing life cycle events on the sub-funds promoted by the company.

Key Requirements:

  • Holds a third-level qualification in Accountancy, Finance, or a Business discipline.
  • Possesses 7+ years of experience in a Middle Office/Operations/Back Office function, preferably in Asset Management/Investment Management or UCITS Management Company Experience.
  • Has exposure to regulatory reporting (EMIR, SFTR, etc.) and familiarity with reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of UCITS and other relevant financial products, instruments, and markets.
  • Essential skills include strong planning, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management.
  • Exhibits the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Is well-organised with strong time management skills.
  • Displays enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and a self-starter attitude.
  • Enrolment in professional programs is a plus, as is evidence of continuous self-development.
  • Fluency in English is required.
