Established almost 10 years ago, our client under Irish ownership and management, embarked on its journey with a singular beauty product. Fast forward eight years, and it has evolved into an award-winning beauty brand comprising an extensive portfolio of over 300 products and three distinct sub-brands.

Job Summary: As the Head of International Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and executing the international sales strategy to drive revenue growth for their cosmetics brands. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in EU/global sales management, a deep understanding of the cosmetics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. International Market Expansion:

    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities for the company’s cosmetics products.
    • Develop and implement market entry strategies to ensure successful expansion into target regions.
    • Open up new distribution channels
  2. Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Formulate and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with product development, marketing, and supply chain activities.
  3. Team Leadership:

    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture, providing guidance and support to team members.
  4. Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key international retailers, distributors, and partners.
    • Collaborate with key accounts to negotiate terms, drive sales, and enhance brand visibility.
  5. Market Analysis and Reporting:

    • Monitor international market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
    • Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management on sales performance, market share, and emerging opportunities.
  6. Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage the international sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximise return on investment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing ideally
  • Proven experience in international business development, with a focus on cosmetics or beauty products.
  • Must have a strong distribution network with your own “Black Book” of contacts.
  • Strong understanding of global market dynamics and cultural nuances.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Relevant Visa to travel unrestricted throughout the EU and beyond.
