Our client is a highly regarded FMCG brand with a footprint across Ireland and Europe. They are on a major growth trajectory which has seen them invest heavily in headcount and infrastructure. As part of this growth, they have a new requirement for a Financial Accounting Manager to join on an immediate start. The role is offered on either on a six-month contractual basis (with a view to permanency) or on a permanent capacity.

The Financial Accounting Manager will be key player in the finance team and report directly to the Finance Director. A key part of this highly visible role is to provide the business with accurate analysis & intelligence to enable the organisation’s management team within the sales & operation planning process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
  • Generate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices, making payments, and reconciling vendor accounts.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, recording revenue, and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards – VAT & Customs in all relevant countries
  • Prepare and file financial reports and tax returns.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Utilise SAGE ERP systems to record and track financial transactions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
  • Agile mindset and can-do attitude to embed S&OP process in business practices – continuous planning, reforecasting, quarterly / event driven / rolling forecasting
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified
  • Circa 3+ years PQE within a FMCG environment
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed driven individual with the ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Can-do mindset, positive attitude, problem solver, data lover.
  • Strong Excel, good PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of Sage an advantage
