Role: Company Microbiologist

About our client:

Azon are thrilled to be partnered with an international pharmaceutical and medical device company located in South Dublin. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for guaranteeing that all items manufactured at the facility meet the designated microbiological and sterilisation benchmarks. This responsibility includes keeping abreast of relevant regulatory standards concerning microbiology and sterilisation for products made in the facility.

Location: South Dublin

About the Role

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all current relevant worldwide regulatory requirements that relate to products manufactured at the company.
• Responsible for the supervision of Microbiology Technicians
• Sets the appropriate microbiological quality standards for all products and ensuring that these standards are applied uniformly across the site.
• Ensures compliance with all sterilisation and environmental monitoring requirements.
• Responsible for dose establishment, dose audits, dose mapping and preparing cycle time charts as required.
• Performs a review of processed product lots and approval of lots for release.
• Act as microbiological technical specialist for the site
• Integrate with appropriate technical specialist groups.

About the Person:

• 3+ experience in a health-care industry in a similar role
• Radiation and sterilisation experience would be advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and team building skills
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software an advantage
• Experience in process validation, sterilisation and working in a clean room environment would be advantageous.
• Proven ability of working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to work with various software tools and technologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
