My client is Ireland’s leading provider of renewable energy solutions through innovation, pushing the boundaries in sustainable self-sufficiency for commercial and industrial sectors benefiting future generations.

Due to their continued success and projected growth in the coming years, they are seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiation and drafting of various commercial agreements, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), equipment supply contracts, and service agreements.
  • Ensure contracts are aligned with company goals and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of contractual issues.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Develop strategies to minimise exposure and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the administration of contracts throughout their life cycle.
  • Monitor contract performance, compliance and key milestones.
  • Stay abreast of changes in law and regulations relevant to the renewable energy industry.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to analyse the financial implications of contracts and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes arising from contractual relationships.
  • Work with legal counsel when necessary to address complex contractual issues.
  • Implement best practices in contract management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in contract management process.

Experience& Qualifications

  • Third Level Accountancy or Engineering Qualification.
  • Additional qualification in Construction Law and Contracts Administration or similar would be an advantage.
  • Awareness/familiarity of relevant law and regulation applicable to construction management.
  • Demonstrable contracts management experience with construction contracts.
  • Experienced in commercial management and contract management.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks related to renewable energy contracts.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Provide track record of successful contract negotiations and management.
  • Analytical skills for financial evaluation and risk assessment.
