Our client is a leading dynamic Irish retailer with locations across 32 counties. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to hire a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be involved in the strategic decision making and shaping of the business plan. This opportunity would suit a candidate with good commercial business acumen and a background in FMCG/retail.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analysing, interpreting and communicating key financial and operational information to support management and stakeholders both internally and externally to improve the performance of the company in key areas.
- Collaborating with Senior Management to identify strategic KPIs by providing analysis and commentary
- Board reporting and management on sales and profit performance across the business
- Preparing annual budgets, forecasts and long-term plans
- Preparation of investment appraisal and business plans for ventures by providing insights, projections and analysis
- Collaborating closely sales team in the implementation of contracts and rebates.
- Implementing and ensuring accounting policies and controls are adhered to
Requirements:
- Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent
- Circa 2 years PQE ideally within FMCG or retail
- Strong commercial business acumen
- Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills
