  • Our client is an international Software Development company specialising in the development of complex software solutions and services for the Financial Services industry globally.
  • With a development team of 500 engineers globally and with over 1k employees, the firm is recognised as one of the best in the world.

Background to the Chief People Officer role:

  • The company is at a stage in its maturity where the appointment of an accomplished HR Leader is a high priority to lead and shape the overall Group HR function to provide tangible benefits to the one-thousand employee organisation into the future.
  • Our client has recently established operations in Ireland having moved their group Corporate Headquarters to Ireland with high quality offices located at ‘Silicon Docks’, the heart of Ireland’s Tech ecosystem, in Dublin 2. The estimated number of employees for Ireland office hiring is 20 to 30 hires in the first 1-2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The company is seeking to appoint a skilled leader to manage the Human Resources function globally (currently ~45 employees). The appointee will be a key member of the senior leadership team to ensure alignment of the people and talent vision and the company’s strategy. The role is responsible for building and developing a best-in-class human resources function to support business needs and foster strong employee engagement.

Chief People Officer – Candidate Profile

  • Experience with or understanding of Eastern European culture to avoid being set-up for failure due to cultural mismatch.
  • Experienced in HR Transformation of an organisation with 1k+ employees. Must possess the credibility to engage effectively with the Finance (e.g. on Timesheets, Payroll, absence information), Legal (on international employment) and other departments.
  • A goal-oriented HR Leader who has Project Management capabilities and is experienced in establishing, collaborating, tracking, and executing key HR related projects.
  • Credible understanding of employment laws and regulations surrounding HR areas of responsibility in an international environment in multiple geographically distributed jurisdictions
  • Expertise to advise on streamlining the company’s Employee Rewards Structure to ensure it is fit for purpose and in line with company objectives.
  • Ability to work with IT specialists to optimise the outcome on HR-related projects.
  • A willingness to travel across all delivery locations is essential, as the organisation has multiple offices with similar staffing and challenges.

Role/Office Location and Reporting lines

  • Our client is flexible and open on location. While an Ireland based HR Leader is preferable, candidates who wish to be based from anywhere within the E.U. will be considered. The role will report day-to-day to the Dublin based CEO and to the Group board on HR matters.

Remuneration

An attractive base salary and comprehensive benefits package commensurate with the candidate’s experience and the level and challenge of the role will be offered.
