As an Assistant Buyer with our client, your role is pivotal in selecting, sourcing, and purchasing cosmetic products, ensuring the company’s competitive edge. You’ll analyze market trends, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain strong relationships to secure optimal deals and products for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, preferences, and competitor strategies.
  • Collaborate with product teams to curate a diverse range of cosmetic products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to fulfill supply needs efficiently.
  • Evaluate product quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance product offerings.
  • Develop sales forecasts and purchasing plans based on data and trends.
  • Implement metrics to assess vendor performance and product quality.
  • Collaborate with departments to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2+ Years experience as an AB or Buyer in cosmetics/beauty retail essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of cosmetics market trends and dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented with familiarity in inventory management systems.
  • Must be commutable to Ashbourne(4 days onsite), with relevant Visa and restrictions.
