Azon are delighted to continue our partnership with one of Irelands most prestigious and successful building contractors who are currently engaged on some of the largest building projects in the country.

This is a permanent role in line with business growth and performance which will join the existing close-knit team in driving further success. This position represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer that likes to get things done to a high standard.


  • Ensure clear communication of project tasks to foremen and operatives for better understanding.
  • Clarify project requirements from drawings and specifications for all involved parties, including subcontractors.
  • Conduct material testing as instructed by supervisors, adhering to relevant specifications.
  • Conduct on-site quality reviews for rebar and concrete placement.
  • Review technical submissions before submitting them to the design team, ensuring all necessary areas are addressed.
  • Oversee concrete testing procedures and interpret results.
  • Provide guidance to subcontractors when necessary for task execution.
  • Prepare technical method statements detailing project procedures.
  • Coordinate traffic management activities on site, especially in busy locations.
  • Maintain a detailed site diary documenting daily activities, relevant information, and incidents.
  • Actively engage in personal development and training programs, ensuring timely completion.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety violations promptly.
  • Foster professional relationships with all project personnel.
  • Regularly inspect setting out instruments and testing equipment for accuracy.
  • Strive to maximize project profitability through efficient self-management and error reduction.
  • Attend meetings and follow directives as necessary for project success.


  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated track record in setting out or serving as a Site Engineer in prior positions of Three years or more.
  • Prior experience with a main contractor, subcontractor, surveying firm, or similar entity is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in managing traffic for extensive projects situated in urban areas.
  • Thorough comprehension of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Project and PowerPoint.
