The Role: Senior Financial Accountant

Role:
You will be in control of the production and analysis of financial information and the development and implementation of financial procedures. The Senior Financial Accountant distributes the financial resources of a company, is responsible for the budget planning, and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. Responsible for the financial health of a company or organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly divisional management accounts and detailed commentary on variance analysis and key performance indicators

- Formulation and presentation of financial presentations to Senior Management and supporting senior management in the evaluation of proposed commercial action and wider strategic options
- Ongoing development of cross function relationships to maintain & improve the flow of key information, ensuring the delivery of on time and internally consistent data
- Liaise with internal and external auditors for all financial queries along with the IT department regarding the introduction of new Microsoft Dynamics ERP system
- Communicate with divisional management to address queries and attend monthly divisional review, co-ordinating with other divisional finance staff in relation to the re-charge of shared operating costs
- Prepare annual audit schedules, liaising with the Audit Field Team and guarantee the submission of statutory tax returns and other statistical data
- Assistance in the supervision of AP, AR, Payroll and G/L finance staff
- Cash flow forecasts – weekly and monthly and provide a review of bank and creditor reconciliations
- Review VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns along with the examination and analysis of the Fixed Asset Register and fixed asset verification
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Minimum 2 years commercial experience
- Ideally experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX (or similar) Accounting Software
- Energetic with positive can-do attitude. Ability to identify and drive change
- Good initiative to work both with and independent of the Financial Controller and Senior Management Team
