Title – Relationship Manager

Location – Dublin City

Salary – Base salary of up to €60,000 per annum depending on experience + commission

Duration – Permanent

Overview and Background:

This client is an alternative finance partner working closely with Irish SMEs. They partner with Irish businesses to help them to access the finance they need to grow.

As the market grows and in conjunction with increasing demand, they are looking to build a team of top-quality staff across a range of functions.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will play a crucial role in the sales function. As Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing a referral business channel across Ireland.

The role is focused on engaging with finance brokers, accountants and other potential sources of referral business. As you build your network, you will work closely with your partners to maximise the number of qualified inbound enquiries received. You will consult with your partners on ways they can expand their reach in their area and spread the word.

The role will suit a self-starter who enjoys the challenge of developing and building their own micro-business within the larger business. The role will also require a high degree of self-sufficiency so you will need to be comfortable working on your own initiative and managing your schedule to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities

This will be an exciting and fast-moving role that will evolve over time as the company grows.

From the outset your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and engage with new partners by endorsing the client’s service against traditional finance providers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing partners including face to face meetings and product training.
  • Manage and record all activities in a transparent way using CRM.
  • Pipeline and forecast sales, reporting to leadership on a regular basis.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in B2B sales ideally in a banking/financial services or related sector.
  • Experience networking with/selling to SMEs is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills .
  • Proficiency in all phone, email and online sales techniques, prospecting tasks utilising CRM (Zoho preferable), LinkedIn, contact database management, email marketing and other sales tools.
