Azon are delighted to be partnering up with a global medical technology company. They are looking to expand their Quality team in their state-of-the-art facility in Wexford.

The successful candidate would have a background in a medical device company and have an in-depth understanding of the regulations in the industry. They should have experience as a Quality Engineer who has been part of New Product Introduction projects.

This company is known for having an excellent culture and positive environment while offering an excellent benefits package. This is an initial 18-month fixed term contract and will be on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops process risk management documentation.
  • Develops or assist in development of inspection and test methods per product specifications.
  • Leads the quality engineering activities for transfer projects, supporting and participating in NPI teams.
  • Ensures legislative, statutory, regulatory compliance for all projects.
  • Identifies opportunities for engineering improvement in quality systems and executes them through the change management system.

Requirements:

  • Level 8 – Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Biomedical preferred) or relevant BSc
  • 2+ years’ experience in Quality Engineer role or similar
  • Medical device experience; ISO/FDA environment and familiarity with ISO 13485, CFR 11820, ISO 14871 and EU MDR
  • Experience using PFMEA (risk management process)
  • Knowledge of Test Method Validation for Physical & Mechanical Test Methods
  • Knowledge of Gauge R&R
  • Experience in process validation (IQ, OQ and PQ)
