- Job Description
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for the entire project, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, monitoring and controlling costs throughout the construction phase.
- Provide regular cost reports to project management and stakeholders, highlighting any variations from the budget.
- Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the selection of cost-effective suppliers and subcontractors.
- Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Assess and negotiate variations to the contract, keeping accurate records of changes.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Work with the project team to implement cost-saving measures while maintaining project goals.

Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 year’s of quantity surveying experience
- Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industry (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT etc.)
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and legal requirements.
- Proficient in cost estimation software and project management tools.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
