Job title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Cork

Client: Client is an Irish company and one of Europe’s leading meat processors. Client have a

portfolio of market leading brands including Rustlers, Big Al’s, John Stone, Stript Snacks and Celtic

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting
Electro-Mechanical repairs
Provide Technical Support
Preventative and Predictive maintenance routines
Support Production team in achieving targets
Closely monitor line and machine performance
Intervene online as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs
Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
To keep clean any areas in which you are working
Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross skilling and other job-related competencies
Update the maintenance management system (CMMS)
Troubleshooting using PLC programs
Ensure KPI’s are met
Completion rate of Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule (PPM)
Minimal breakdown recovery time
Optimise Overall Equipment Effectiveness
Shift role covering 24/7 with alternating days and night time work pattern

Key Skills:

Trades Qualification is essential
Mechanical/Electrical background essential
Main skill in Electrical/Mechanical essential
Aptitude for process awareness
Diagnostic and/or trouble shooting experience preferred
Computer skills advantageous
Observant and able to work on own initiative
Good team player
Multi-skilled/Cross skilled ethos
