Job Summary: A leading construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects in Dublin are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Junior QS, you will work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to assist in cost control, contract administration, and financial management of construction projects. - Assist senior quantity surveyors in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Conduct material take-offs, quantities measurement, and cost analysis for procurement purposes.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate project documentation, including variations, claims, and progress reports.
- Assist in monitoring project costs, budget allocation, and expenditure throughout the construction process.
- Assist in the negotiation and administration of contracts, change orders, and payment certifications.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess work quality, and verify quantities.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with Irish construction regulations and industry standards is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous experience in a quantity surveying or construction-related role is an advantage but not essential.
