Our client is an Irish PLC based in South Dublin and they are looking to hire a FP&A Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Performance
    1. Improve the existing monthly management reporting packs (including development of the KPIs) to monitor and explain business performance and ensure ownership and delivery of financial targets across the business
    2. Provide financial and commercial decision-making support across the business as and when required
    3. Analysis on business performance should clearly call out trends and changes in the areas of focus, with a follow-on causal analysis explaining the reasons for the changes
    4. Ensure that all corrective action plans are communicated and followed up across the entire business on a continuous basis
  1. Budgeting and re-forecasting
    1. Communicate and manage the budget process with all stakeholders, ensuring all deliverables are met within pre-agreed timescales
    2. Assist in the preparation of all detailed annual budgets and rolling re-forecast models
    3. Continuously improve the annual budgeting model for P&L, cash-flow and balance sheet
    4. Involvement in the preparation of presentations to the Executive and other interest groups
  1. Business Development and Strategy
    1. Work closely with the Strategy team to ensure that all financial risks and opportunities are addressed in the financial modelling.
    2. Provide support to the group strategy process in analysing historic data and building financial robust models for long-term planning
    3. Business partner with key Group functions (IT, HR, Strategy) & relevant business units.

Key Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at 3+ years post qualification experience with excellent academic record.
  • Excellent excel modelling and powerpoint skills, with ability to manage very detailed data whilst also see the bigger picture and excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability of quickly accumulating commercial knowledge on a variety of different businesses
  • Good systems experience
  • Very strong business analytics capability (including any relevant qualifications) is of interest
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
  • A true self-starter with ability to manage own priorities and learn the business quickly.
