Role: FP&A Manager
Client: Our client is Ireland’s leading print and digital media publisher
Location: Dublin
Role Purpose
The FP&A Manager is an integral part of the Group Finance team. Reporting to the Group FD, this role will be a key appointment with diverse responsibilities as outlined below.
Role Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall Group consolidation for budgeting & forecasting.
  • Work closely with the Finance function to provide the Executive Committee with a monthly variance analysis of actuals against budget and prior year and ensure related commentary is relevant and up to date, reflecting key developments. Preparation and population of budget reports for Board.
  • Perform relevant in-depth variance analysis for particular parts of the business.
  • Support the various business teams when new business opportunities are identified and ensure financial impacts built into planning & forecasting cycles.
  • Lead and manage the Finance function through annual strategic & planning process, taking ownership of company planning calendar and ensuring Management review and challenge and final sign off is scheduled with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and enhance the Group’s analytical structure, ensuring that it facilitates accurate and valuable management reporting.
  • Act as business partner and work closely with senior managers to improve financial awareness, budgeting and cost control. Identify areas of concern and recommend remedial action where necessary.
  • Reporting monthly and quarterly as required to both Board and company via the production and population of Board Finance slides and templates.
  • Work in collaboration with Group Reporting (Ireland) on key central tasks and deliverables, particularly at critical points during each year. This will include providing help and assistance as required during month-end close and/or quarterly Group Consolidation.
  • Meet the ad hoc demands of Group FD or Executive Committee.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant (Chartered).
  • Minimum 3- 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Highly capable in Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
  • Ability to review processes with a view to improving them.
