Our Client is a leading aircraft leasing and asset management company based in Dublin city centre. Our client provides specialist services to clients, including some of the world’s leading financial institutions, government entities, operators and investors. They have a portfolio of over 200 aircraft on lease to more than 60 different airlines worldwide.

The Role:
Financial Accountant

The Opportunity:
As part of our client’s ongoing fleet and organisational expansion, we now have a new opportunity
for a newly qualified accounting professional to develop a successful and rewarding career
and gain significant exposure at all levels across the full breadth of the organisation.
You will have a broad range of responsibilities including financial accounting, tax
compliance, financial reporting, treasury management and assisting with various group
activities and initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts for a number of Group Entities
* Preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Statements
* Preparation of Monthly Reporting for Joint Venture Partners
* Preparation of Management Information and Analysis
* Aircraft impairment reviews and analysis
* Liaising with Auditors and co-ordinating annual audits * Technical Accounting reviews under US GAAP IFRS & FRS 101 * Co-ordination of board meetings for certain Group Subsidiaries * Assisting in the set-up of new corporate entities * Ensuring effectiveness, accuracy, implementation and adherence to SOX documentation * Delivering Finance support on any project work * Assisting in the system changes, upgrades and process improvements * Assisting in the creation and approval of treasury payments * Ensuring adherence to internal policies and best practices * Responsibility for coaching other members of the finance team. * Assisting with the deal process from a finance perspective, including preparation of papers to be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval, technical accounting papers, impairment forecasts, coordinating the deal closing mechanics from a payments/funding perspective and other back up, as required. * Working with management to identify and take responsibility for the implementation of improvements. * Proactively reviewing and proposing improvements to processes and systems, ensuring our client maximises the interface between accounting and wider systems. * Assisting with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. * Any other duties and projects as assigned by your manager

Who you are: * You will be recently ACA / ACCA Qualified with Strong Academics – and a minimum 2.1 in relevant degree * Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a large professional accounting firm * Proficiency with Sun Accounts is desired, but not a pre-requise * Be adept at working with non-Finance business leaders. * Have excellent team working abilities with strong analytical, finance and accounting skills * Be an enthusiastic and strong communicator, highly organised and a self-starter.
