Job Description:
This position presents a distinctive opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to deliver Facilities Management Services for the Common Areas in a high-end development with a variety of amenities available on-site.
The successful candidates’ primary responsibilities will entail close collaboration with the on-site General Manager and the Block Management Team of our clients to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the development. You will assume leadership in overseeing contractors responsible for facility maintenance, including planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance for mechanical and electrical equipment, building upkeep, and improvement projects. Additionally, the role encompasses various tasks such as administration, tendering services, contract negotiation, security, compliance with health and safety regulations, energy management, landscaping, and handling insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee facilities operations for assigned developments.
- Manage all documentation and coordination related to contractors, including tendering, health and safety, service level agreements (SLAs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), financial matters, and reporting.
- Represent Savills in client meetings.
- Conduct site inspections of managed developments.
- Ensure that developments meet the required standards set by organization and the client.
- Handle budget tendering, preparation, operation, and delivery.
- Ensure timely implementation of health and safety actions identified in audits.
- Collaborate closely with the central Facilities Management and H&S Compliance Manager.
- Generate innovative ideas for cost savings and enhance site sustainability.
- Provide periodic reporting (monthly, weekly, ad hoc) with support from the central management team and client.
Key Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building service management/facilities management.
- Implementing systems and service strategies in new and existing developments.
- Ensure efficient, reliable, and high-quality site maintenance and utility operations.
- Previous customer-facing experience.
- Previous experience in hotel facilities management is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions effectively.
- Establish and maintain relationships with contractors to ensure work quality and compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Strong financial acumen to manage facilities management budgets for multiple sites.
- Excellent knowledge and implementation of health and safety practices.
- Possess a relevant qualification in Facilities Management and a track record of continuous personal development in the industry.
- Proficiency in IT skills and experience with systems software.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous trade experience is beneficial.
- Strong self-management, organizational, and administrative skills.
