Job Title: Engineering Technician

Role Description: MECH/ELEC technician reporting to the Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

* Mechanical and electrical repairs across all site and production equipment.
* Preventive maintenance checks and repairs
* Problem solving and repair of breakdowns across all site and production equipment.
* Swift response to keep down time to a minimum
* Recording the use of parts and high lighting low stock levels
* Call outs
* Improving reliability of machines
* Working with contractors
* Working on CI projects
* Maintaining clean and tidy work area and workshop
* Adhere to strict technical rules for high care procedures
* Complete and record relevant paperwork
* Repair and design with H&S in mind

Education & Experience

Technical Experience
* Mechanical: Conveyors /cutters/mixers/bearings/shafts
* P.L.C: Fault finding
* Pneumatics: Fault finding and design
* Refrigeration: Glycol systems/pressure monitors
* Boiler room: Associated pump controls
* Electronics: P.C.B’s, 24V control circuits, relay controls
* B.M.S: Fault find by monitoring fluid pressure readings/positive air pressure
* A.H.U: Workings
* Tig welding: Basic
* Schematics: Understanding/using as fault finding tool
* Electrical: New installs/fault finding/improvements
* Water treatment plant: Workings
* Thermal transfer/ink jet printing: Allen coder/Markem
* Modified atmospheric packing machines: Vacuum/gas flush
* Packing machines in general
* Mixing machines in general

General Experience
* Clean room working environment
* Food manufacturing facility
* Successful track record of troubleshooting and timely delivery
