Azon Recruitment is looking for experienced electronic engineers for a leading medical device company based in Limerick.
The successful electronic engineers will join an established team who working on mission critical projects in analogue and digital. The teams are expanding due to growth. Project lengths are greater than 2 years.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in new and existing product development from concept to design transfer to release.
- Drive circuit level hardware design phases including architecture and design, component selection, schematic entry, board bring-up and integration of complex printed circuit board and cable assemblies into systems/instruments.
- Work with multi-functional teams including software, mechanical design and system engineering, aligning with the schedule and budget of the project through different phases of the product lifecycle while supporting project teams
- Evaluate and implements designs to ensure that all agency requirements (UL, IEC, FDA) are being met throughout the design process.
- Generate design specifications, test protocols, execute/automate testing and associated test reports.
- Participate in technical design reviews to ensure electrical design integrity and safety are achieved.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as an Electronics Engineer, designing and testing both analog and digital circuitry on complex printed circuit board assemblies.
- Strong analog and digital circuit design background that includes microprocessors, FPGA, analog circuitry for theoretical analysis, simulations, circuit analysis, board level simulation.
- Experienced in DC/DC converters
- Experience with interfacing of hardware peripherals like sensors, motors, motor drivers, touch displays, etc
- Experience with designing PCBA boards with complex devices like FPGA, microcontrollers, and DSP chips.
- Experience with design simulation and SI/PI analysis.
- Experience in compliance testing including Immunity Testing, Current Probe Emissions, ESD Testing, Transient Testing, Radiated Emissions Testing.
- Experience with PCBA boards bring up and troubleshooting.
- Experience developing firmware using Communication protocols – I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc in an embedded environment is an advantage.
- Experience developing FPGA designs using a hardware description language like Verilog is an advantage.
