Chief Risk Officer (PCF-14) Opportunity – Full Time OR Part Time.

Azon are proud to be partnering with a rapidly growing, global financial technology group in the payments industry. They are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to take on the role of a Chief Risk Officer (PCF-14) within their new Dublin office.
As the Chief Risk Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role reporting jointly to the local CEO and the company Board. This senior position offers flexibility in either full-time or part-time engagement and provides an opportunity to build and oversee our risk framework while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of risk frameworks, policies, and procedures, including risk registers.
- Management of Key Risk Indicators, monitoring losses, key risk exposures, and early warning indicators.
- Collaboration with business lines to identify, quantify, and mitigate risks.
- Monitoring various exposures in a second line capacity.
- Advising Senior Management in a consultative role on risk-related matters.
- Reporting risk insights to the Board, local Senior Management, and Group Risk.
- Investigation, mitigation, and reporting of risk events across various teams.
- Conducting annual and periodic risk and control assessments.
- Continuous testing, validation, and quantification of controls.
- Developing, executing, and monitoring the Business Recovery Planning.
- Liaison with Compliance, Finance, and Internal Audit functions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year in a relevant PCF role within a fintech or payments institution is required.
- 5+ years’ experience in Banking, Payments, or risk consultancy/audit.
- Strong knowledge of Irish/EU legislation relevant to the industry.
- Specialisation in Operational and/or Market Risk is highly desirable.
